Richard Manner is a technician, lighting designer and video installation specialist. Having trained as a visual artist at the College of Fine Arts (UNSW), Manner has since held positions at PACT Centre for Emerging Artists and was the Technical Manager of Performance Space for twelve years from 1999 – 2011. Manner has worked with an array of contemporary performance companies, including de Quincey Co, Version 1.0 and My Darling Patricia in Sydney and has technically managed major works by international companies including Pacitti Company and La Pocha Nostra at Performance Space. He has toured internationally with Version 1.0, de Quincey Co and for the project Breathing Space curated by Fiona Winning which was presented at Arnolfini in Bristol, Tramway in Glasgow and Green Room in Manchester. He is currently the Technical and Education Officer at the Department of Performance Studies, Sydney University.
